Re: 5600ZDX Config file help
Looks like the firmware rev has changed, and you have an "improved" model.
My version is V2.100-V90_2M_DLS (ati3).
You didn't mention if transmission is OK. For the record, is it?
But probably the problem is the absence of this command in your config file:
ModemRecvFillOrder: MSB2LSB # opposite of what makes sense
This command is in the config file I use that works for me with receive
(see attached), and is in the rockwell-k56.config file I recently pulled
from the web site.
The log file indicates that all the handshaking is working, and the modem
thinks that the session went without problems. But no data was transferred!
You might want to try using a different fax machine to send the info. I like
to use one of the fax back services for testing. If you can get it to work
with some fax machines but not others, it makes a good case for Multitech
tech support.
But try the other config files first....
# rockwell-k56.config modem configuration patch
#
# Configuration for a Rockwell AC/K56-based Class 2 modem.
# based upon work of Mark J. Bailey, Jonathan Mau and Glenn Burkhardt.
# Multitech MT5600ZDX
# Diamond Multimedia SupraExpress 56e PRO
# Zoom Telephonics 56Kx - to be added
# (and others)
#
# Instructions: install file as /var/spool/fax/config/rockwell-k56
# delete/rename your config.ttySx file and rerun faxaddmodem.
#
# This configuration file sets up the modem to run at 38.4 for
# sending and for receiving. XON/XOFF is used for flow control
# which also works for data connections. Adaptive answer support
# is reliable, but to use it you must also enable ModemWaitForConnect
# to force the server to skip intermediate status messages and
# wait for the "CONNECT" message.
