Well, I managed to clear up my last trouble. Apperently the higher ups want to replace the fax machine with a fax server (easier archiving of faxes) but still keep the old fax machine for faxes that can't be sent through the server. Anyway, reconfiguring the server for incoming/outgoing faxes cleared up my earlier troubles. Computer vodoo I guess. So now it recives faxes no problem. It sends them too. But, it can't seem to successfully send the fax. The log file from the fax server looks like this: Apr 27 11:17:40.61: [14504]: SESSION BEGIN 00000006 17634289126 Apr 27 11:17:40.61: [14504]: SEND FAX: JOB 2 DEST 4289126 COMMID 00000006 Apr 27 11:17:44.74: [14504]: STATE CHANGE: RUNNING -> SENDING Apr 27 11:19:43.14: [14504]: SEND: No response to EOP repeated 3 times; Giving up after 3 attempts to send same page "docq/doc2.ps;30", dirnum 0 Apr 27 11:19:43.27: [14504]: STATE CHANGE: SENDING -> MODEMWAIT (timeout 5) Apr 27 11:19:43.27: [14504]: SESSION END The reciving copy machine recives the fax and prints it out no problem, but reports COM. E-1 (Line Disconnected during reception) System: Debian Linux 2.2 HylaFax 4.0.2 (from debs in distribution) Modem: USR 56K Faxmodem on ttyS1 (External Sporster 568602 Model 0648) Using usr-2.0 prototype I hope someone can give me a clue.
