RE: Modem Disconneting

afaik:

sender and receiver should negotiate the same format during the
initialisation of the communication.

hylfax must prepare the document (let it go through ghostscript)
to get it encoded for transfer before placing the call.

to encode the document correctly it makes use of the info files
which store the capabilities of previously called remote fax machines.

it can happen that false info is store in the info file so the doc
will be prepared in a false encoding which the fax machine cannot excecpt.

hylax has to interrput the call and forces the modem to hangup: ath0

hylaxfax should then update the info file an encode the doc again(?)

it happened for me that some info files got corrputed. i deleted them
manually and everything worked fine again.

you can force hylax to send with 1D: sendfax -1 ... (see man sendfax)

(whfc works for me)
