flexfax: Modem Disconneting

Hi,

I am using external Prolink 33.6Kbps (using rockwell chipset), hylafax 4.1 
beta 2, slackware 7.0 (kernel v2.2.13)
The modem keeps issuing hangup command right before sending data to the 
remote fax.
Another issue is the different data format, not sure if it's related.
Can someone please help.
