What about modems that don't need FaxGetty to listen all the
time if a new fax comes in, e.g. ELSA ML Office. Such modems
are able to receive facsimiles while the PC is turned off. For this
reason
I didn't start FaxGetty at all. So the Modem would store the fax in
its memory even while the PC is running. I use susefax/hylafax
only for sending facsimiles.
I would like to use hylafax to get the facsimiles stored in the modem
memory "on demand". Is this possible with hylafax?
As far as I've understood the docs FaxGetty is needed for receiving
faxes and FaxGetty has to be started while the system boots.
So is there a way to "read" facsimiles from the modem without
FaxGetty?
