flexfax: Ring detected without successful handshake?

Hi all.  I'm receving the following message on my RH60, USR 33.6,
hylafax-4.1beta1-1rh6 box:

What could this mean?  I did have it working for a while, but the box
stagnated for a while, and I upgraded the RPM to the latest one.  The USR
has worked for receiving faxes in the past.  Perhaps there's an updated
config file to go with the new RPM?
