Well, Darren, to be fair, it's not "officially" a misconfiguration -- yet.

The docos don't say that it's mandatory, and indeed, it's not.  It's
just _much_ easier to live with the system that way.

Unless you have hangup-when-spawning-the-data-getty problems, as I have
one place.  :-}
