flexfax: problem with faxsetup on HP-UX 10.20

Hello,

I'm trying to install HylaFax 4.0pl2 on an HP 9000 D370 system using the
binary
distribution. The modem I would like to use is a MT1432BA previously
connected
to a Linux box where HylaFax is running since early 1998.

When I run faxsetup everythings seems to work until the faxaddmodem tryes to
detect my
MT1432BA, actually connected on /dev/cul1p0 (built-in serial port): at this
point
( "Probing for best speed to talk to modem: 38400" )  faxsetup hangs.
The modem is cabled to the port and is turned on , since I can connect to
the modem with
kermit without any problem.

Can anybody give me any suggestions ?
