paging to SprintPCS

I've got HylaFAX 4.0pl0 on BSD/OS 3.1 (as distributed with the system).

I recently was forced to upgrade from Sprint Spectrum (GSM-based
service) to the new SprintPCS service. According to the
www.sprintpcs.com messaging web page, one can use TAP 1.5 compliant
paging software to send messages, in addition to sending them via the
web or direct email. I cannot get this to work with HylaFAX, while
the other methods work fine.

My configuration worked great for the old Sprint Spectrum paging, but
with the Sprint PCS, I get the following error trace.

My question is has anyone gotten HylaFAX to page through the Sprint
PCS TAP dialup? I don't see in the HylaFAX docs what version of TAP
it supports, either. Is HylaFAX using TAP-1.5?

Thanks for any ideas on getting this to work.
