Do you have a printer set up on your PC? 
It should print out the incoming fax by default.
Have you looked at the files in /var/spool/fax/recvq ?
They should be viewable (check size) as tiff.
Do you get an email notification?
Are using a web browser (Netscape) ?
You may follow the hyperlink in the email and open the fax.
