flexfax: sendfax: Problem with international chars

Hi

I've seen a problem with sendfax. If I feed it with a file containing
international characters (Latin-1) then sendfax protests:

/tmp/faxtxt: Can not determine file type
Sendfax failed, fax was not sent

Is it a known bug?

Does anybody know a solution for this?
