Could you be a bit more specific please? 4.02 means very little . . . what is
the exact name of the RPM you installed?

The exact name is : HylaFax-V4_0pl2-19_i386.rpm
I'm using Linux Redhat 5.1 on a PII machine.

You need to use faxaddmodem to choose/create an appropriate config file for
your modem.

I've run faxsetup and faxaddmodem. I've tried to setup outbound only first with faxmodem, later i've tried using faxgetty.
All of this was done using /dev/cua0.
Here is a part of my syslog file :

Have you edited this file? Seems very sloppy for an RPM.

I tried using the dailrules and the dailrules.europe that came with the RPM.
They seem to be standard.

You should tell us more about your modem as well - it's highly relevant. If you are as desperate as you say you are, give us something to chew on please, so that we may help you.

Modem is : 3com US Robotics 56K Voice Faxmodem capable of faxclasses 1 and 2.0 connected externally to com1.
Using "efax -d cua0 -o 0" this modem works perfectly to send out faxes. (even documents from /var/spool/fax/docq that were send from a client using WHFC)
      or "efax -d modem -o 0"

 Help would still be appreciated.
