Dear successful users of hylafax, I finally gave up trying getting hylafax running with my creatix modem. I organized a Elsa 28.8TQV and I run into the same problems as before: ANSWER: Ring detected without successful handshake! I've set up the Elsa as Class 2.0 modem but tried also Class2 and Class1 with no success. I searched the list archive and the faq and tried several things and also the config file for the Elsa 33.4TWV wich was reported to work also with the 28.8TQV model didn't change anything. I run hylafax 4.0pl2 compiled from the source on a 2.0.35 linux system (DLD 5.4). Below is the short log of an unsuccesful receive try! So I would like to ask any reader of this list who succussfully use or used such a Elsa modem to send me his config file. What makes me really wondering is the fact that two friends of mine are also struggeling getting hylafax to work under linux (one of them is using SuSe 5.2 the other debian 2.0 - but we all have different modems!). One of them has them same problem than me the other can only configure his modem to recieve or send but never both at the same time!
