I agree. Unfortunately, the default configure script did not find the
location of the ghostscript fonts or AFM under Linux. I wrote
a patch for this in my http://cirl.meei.harvard.edu/hylafax/patches/
directory. Should I submit those, or do you have copies of those
patches? I've lost track of whether I submitted those.

I'm *WORKING* on it, Matthias. (Grin!) Sam's shell scripting in the
configure was very sophisticated and robust. I have to be very
cautious tweaking it or I tend to break it, or violate the protocols
he used to do things. It takes tweaking etc/hylafax.in,
etc/Makefile.in, and configure to use a new field for "init.d" scripts.
And different OS's have different ideas of how to do this: I've only
got Linux and SunOS to play with right now.
