flexfax: Problems with faxmail

Hello,

We are using HylaFax as a mail-fax-gateway. It works great so far,
But we're having a problem with german 'umlaute' (a, o, u with the two
dots above). There is a newline before and after each umlaut on the fax.

rpm reports the version 4.0pl1-2 of the HylaFax package.

Do you have any suggestions to get the umlaute printed properly on the fax?
