Hello, I have some problems at creating my own faxcover. I created a faxcover by use of Adobe Illustrator on a WinNT40-box. I created a ps file by use of a postscript printer (Apple laseWriter 16/600 PS). I faxed this file from a unix-box with Hylafax to another fax-machine, this worked well. But after ediiting the file as described in the archives to create a new faxcover-template the sendfax program return a errror on converting/creating a faxcover. To solve this I saved the Illustrator file as PDF and converted it on the unix-box to a PS file using the PDF2PS filter. Again i tried to send the generated PS file with hylafax and this worked well. I editted this PS file to create a faxcover template. But when I use this faxcover hylafax/sendfax/makecover doesn,t complain about anything, a faxcover is generated and the fax is send away..... but reviewing the fax log file it says: ---------------SNIP------------- Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: REMOTE best rate 9600 bit/s Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: REMOTE max page width 1728 pixels in 215 mm Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: REMOTE max unlimited page length Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: REMOTE best vres 7.7 line/mm Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: REMOTE best format 1-D MR Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: REMOTE best 0 ms/scanline Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: USE 9600 bit/s Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: USE 0 ms/scanline Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: SEND file "docq/doc20.cover;00" Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: Modem does not support document page width, max page width 2432 pixels, image width 1687 pixels Feb 05 22:32:25.48: [12666]: <-- [5:ATH0\r] Feb 05 22:32:25.74: [12666]: --> [9:+FHNG: 20] Feb 05 22:32:25.74: [12666]: REMOTE HANGUP: Unspecified Transmit Phase B error ( code 20) Feb 05 22:32:26.31: [12666]: --> [2:OK] Feb 05 22:32:26.33: [12666]: SESSION END -------------------------------- What is the problem: the page width or the Phase B error? And what do I have to do to resolve this? And isn't there a more simple way to create faxcover-templates? T.I.A. Arjan Knepper Arjan@jak.nl
