I think this is a great idea, Robert. I'll do my part.. Here is one modem that doesn't work for outbound faxes in 2.0 mode: I'd also like to see the web page touch upon ways of getting our modems fixed by USR.. as in, ROM upgrades or swap upgrades (free or for cost). I plan on climbing the tech support ladder at USR and getting my modem swapped for free.. since the last time I used their tech support, I had to send in my USR sportster 28.8 to get fixed... the one I HAD worked with class 2.0.. then they gave me a different modem in return that didn't work with 2.0. I urge everyone with this problem to call USR Tech Support: 847-676-3854 and report their troubles. This is the information about the modem I sent in to get fixed last year. Once again, this one DID work with class 2.0 faxes w/ hylafax: FCC ID: CJE-0268 S/N: 0007450007303824 sticker inside: 0008390010706152 chip: US-Robotics 19-420, SU, 1554, 4/18/95 DSP: 16-912, PD17123PQ, EB-48ADVHW I own two USR sportster modems with the following markings... both of them have broken 2.0 support: FCC ID: CJE-0340 Serial #: 0008390145266894 Sportster 28.8 FAX MODEM FCC ID: CJE-0340 Serial #: 00083901 210V59962968 (this was the replacement w/ a weird s/n) Sportster 33.6 FAX MODEM The 33.6 has the following information codes programmed in it: ati1 8F0F OK ati7 Configuration Profile...
