Yep, ELSA Modems work fine. I was using several MicroLink 28.8TQV with
great success. Now I'm using 2 MicroLink ISDN/TLV.34, and they work
fine, too.

I'm sending you my actual configuration file (for the ISDN/TLV.34,
but there's no big deal modifying it for an analog device) per PM.
