Same fax sent many times

System types and OS versions 
SGI Crimson/Irix 5.3; Clients for W95 and Macs. We have used the 
system for 6+ months now without complaints, it works like a charm.

Modem
MultiTech MT2834ZDXI

The problem 
When one particular fax is transmitted to, from an SGI, or W95 or Mac
clients, 
the people at the other end get several (>3) sets of pages for each fax
sent. 

They have  not provided me with any details of their fax machine, but it
is 
a dedicated fax machine, not a computer as far as I know. 

The problem is repeatable, happens every time with this particular fax
machine. 

The pages they receive are OK, they are just sent several times. We have
not 
heard of any others with this problem. They only see this problem when
they
get faxes from our HylaFax setup. "Ordinary" faxes work OK.

We have a period ahead, where we want to send a lot of faxes to these
people,
from the computers, so if anyone could suggest a workaround or fix we'd
be 
very happy! Could not find anything like this in the FAQ - I have
limited
experience with modems and faxes, so any input would be appreciated.
