[hylafax-devel] Re: How many com ports supported
Hi,
If the faxmodems are running in Class 2, I would say that it would be
completely possible to run up to 100 fax modems on a reasonable server.
I have had up to 25 going on a 1992 vintage RS/6000 with no problems.
The main bottleneck is the rendering of the fax image. Submitting
tiff format files to 25 fax modems gave no problems on my system running
AIX.
When I had to run ghostscript for each one, that was a different story!!
