To: flexfax@sgi.engr.sgi.com Subject: code50 Date: Sun, 09 Jun 1996 12:21:54 +0300 From: Dror BenShlomoHi all My system : HylaFAX Version 3.0pl0113 indy - IRIX 5.3 boca modem MV.34EM (28,800) I'm using it without any problems most of the time but sometimes I have problems with individual fax machines. There are two problems : 1. I got code 50 ( twice on the fax machine). Here is the mail I got ( I use -D option ): <...stuff deleted...> Jun 06 20:13:18.71: [12444]: USE 2-D MR Jun 06 20:13:18.71: [12444]: <-- [23:AT+FDIS=0,3,0,2,1,0,0,2] Jun 06 20:13:18.98: [12444]: --> [2:OK] Jun 06 20:13:18.98: [12444]: <-- [6:AT+FDT] Jun 06 20:13:25.93: [12444]: --> [22:+FDCS: 0,3,0,2,1,0,0,3] <...stuff deleted...> Jun 06 20:15:06.81: [12444]: SEND send EOM (more documents) Jun 06 20:15:06.81: [12444]: <-- [8:AT+FET=1] Jun 06 20:15:09.94: [12444]: --> [8:+FPTS: 2] Jun 06 20:15:10.04: [12444]: --> [2:OK] Jun 06 20:15:10.04: [12444]: SEND recv RTN (retrain negative) Jun 06 20:15:10.04: [12444]: <-- [5:AT+FK] Jun 06 20:15:15.62: [12444]: --> [9:+FHNG: 50] Jun 06 20:15:15.62: [12444]: REMOTE HANGUP: Unspecified Transmit Phase D error, including +FPHCTO timeout between data and +FET command (code 50) Jun 06 20:15:16.20: [12444]: --> [2:OK] Jun 06 20:15:16.20: [12444]: SEND: Unable to transmit page (giving up after 3 attempts); Giving up after 3 attempts to send same page "docq/doc778;70", dirnum 0 If this problem is repeatable then try disabling the use of 2D-encoded when calling this destination. Consult hylafax-info(4F) to find out how to do this. 2. I got code 2 . I read the FAQ about this problem but in my case I got only 1 per more than 100 faxes that I send and only on some fax machine (on the fax machine in the next log I got it twice) <...stuff deleted...> Jun 06 18:27:58.91: [11267]: SEND send MPS (more pages, same document) Jun 06 18:27:58.91: [11267]: <-- [8:AT+FET=0] Jun 06 18:28:01.91: [11267]: --> [8:+FPTS: 4] Jun 06 18:28:02.02: [11267]: --> [2:OK] Jun 06 18:28:02.02: [11267]: SEND recv PIN (procedural interrupt negative) Jun 06 18:28:02.02: [11267]: <-- [5:AT+FK] Jun 06 18:28:08.61: [11267]: --> [8:+FHNG: 2] PIN is received when a *person* on the remote side interrupts the transmission. Because HylaFAX has no mechanism for notifying a person locally to allow them to deal with this intervention it dops the connection. Sam
