Jones"Hi, I was wondering if the following scenario is currently possible with HylaFax: Setup a Linux Fax Server PC with two modems (Practical Peripheral PM14400FXMT). A group of sales reps are given UNIQUE Fax telephone numbers. Each fax number will be assigned to ONE and ONLY ONE rep. All those fax numbers funnel into the TWO modems on the fax server. Based on the fax number DIALED by the sender (which uniquely identifies the recipient) the fax can be forwarded to the appropriate individual through e-mail. Yes, you just configure two different faxrcvd scripts; one for each modem. I thought I heard of some telephony technology ('DID' or 'TAPI' I think) that will allow a program to identify characteristics of incoming calls. One of those characteristics being the Original Dialed Telephone Number. DID = Direct Inward Dial, it refers to a facility where multiple Telco numbers are routed to a single physical connection to the host; the host identifies the phone number associated with the inbound call through information sent to the host by a special-purpose device. TAPI = Telephone API; it's a programming API defined by Microsoft for Win95. Sam
