Revision as of 07:17, 9 August 2007

HylaFAX for Debian has been split in three packages: hylafax-server, hylafax-client and hylafax-doc.

Here you may find the packages for the stable version, and for the testing version of Debian. In each page you will find a link to the package for your architecture (i386, powerpc, mips, ...).

You may even try the unstable packages, but please note that this will not be the latest CVS snapshot: all Debian versions are derived from HylaFAX official releases.

The list of open bug reports is always available Here. For a list of known problem of the hylafax debian package, you may also check this page.

Since HylaFAX is included in the Debian archive, if you want to install it, just issue, as root, this command:

apt-get install hylafax-server hylafax-client hylafax-doc

The last version uploaded in Debian is 4.4.0. It will be included in Debian 4.1 "lenny". The same package may be recompiled without any change in Debian 4.0 "etch", Debian 3.1 "sarge" and in Debian 3.0 "woody". When installed in "woody" you will need the package lsb-base (>=3.06) from backports.org.

Please note that starting from 4.4.0 the hylafax-doc package has been removed since it contained very old informations.
