HylaFAX The world's most advanced open source fax server |
Michal, Thanks for the efforts. My connection is all on a LAN. Is there any way you can tweak the program to allow for cover page submission? This client is perfect now except for that one feature. Thanks again for all your work… Lucas PS Your English is just fine J From: Michal Havránek [mailto:havranek.michal@xxxxxxxx] Hi, I am today change the program to set which mode will be used. If from you is possibility using ACTIVE FTP mode, then will never have to used passive ports and all communication will be only on ports (i thing 4559 and 4558). It depends on your connection to hylafaxserver. If you are behind the NAT then only passive connection is possible . If you are active then active connection is possible and there‘s no need data connection on ports 1024 -65535. I am let you know (sorry for englis a im hope you understand) Michal *********************************************************** Hi, something about message „…data connection“. This message means: 1. Connection between client and hylafaxserver on port 4559 is OK 2. Username and Password is OK 3. Then hylafax server send to client random port xxxxxx (between 1024-65535) to transfer data 4. Client create data connection to hylafax server on xxxxxxx port to transfer FAX file 5. If connecting to port xxxxxxx isn’t established then there is message „error socket for data connection” Maybe your firewall block outgoing ports or maybe firewall on hylafax server. Are you using Winprint Hylafax (original) on Windows XP before? Michal From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lucas Burdick I tried this and still nothing. From: Michal Havránek [mailto:havranek.michal@xxxxxxxx] You should try check „Ignore PASV IP“ on dialog configuration printer port. Michal From: Lucas Burdick [mailto:lucas@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Thanks, sorry… I’m getting an “error socket for data connection” error when on Windows 7 32-bit From: Michal Havránek [mailto:havranek.michal@xxxxxxxx] The links is not broken. But its tooooo long. Use the first link and add the second line bottom of the links. Sorry Michal From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lucas Burdick The links below no longer work. From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Michal Havránek Thank you James for your great job! I have a notice for all. This program is created only for Win7 (maybe Vista). On Windows XP you should use the original WinPrint Hylafax, because Windows XP and Windows 7 have different architecture for drivers and services. And my update is targeted only for Win7 architecture! Michal From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of James Smith Use a standard ps printer driver for the winprint hylafax and it will print from anything On xp I use apple 12/640 PS On 7 I use Xerox Phaser 6120 PS From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of shouldbe q931 And I we have a winner with PDFCreator http://www.pdfforge.org/ !! I'd be VERY happy to buy you a beer :-) Cheers 2011/1/24 shouldbe q931 <shouldbeq931@xxxxxxxxx> Hi Michal, I will try some other drivers to see if I can find one that works :-) Cheers -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
