[hylafax-users] Upgraded from 4.4 to 6.0 and now the hfaxd won't start from init.d script
'uname -a' produces:
Linux earth 2.6.34-12-default #1 SMP 2010-06-29 02:39:08 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
'cat /etc/SuSE-release' produces:
openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11.3
'rpm -q hylafax' produces:
hylafax-6.0.4-3.1.x86_64
The error in /var/log/messages:
Oct 1 13:41:14 earth HylaFAX[11469]: No support for old protocol
Which is output whenever the following command is run from within the hylafax init script:
/usr/lib/fax/hfaxd -i hylafax -o 4557 -s 444
The daemon dies after the message is displayed.
I was at openSUSE 11.1, but I was having problems with hsfmodem package modules loading into the kernel. Hylafax was working at that time, but once the fax began sending the module caused a kernel oops. The hsfmodem mods now load fine into this release of openSUSE, but without hfaxd running I still can't send faxes.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Scott
