faxmail was always intended to be used in conjunction with sendfax.  So...

faxmail | sendfax -k "now + 5 hours"

Some versions of hylafax.org releases won't support this, but all 
historic HylaFAX versions and all HylaFAX+ versions (and I think current 
versions of hylafax.org releases) do support this usage.
