It has been reported that people have good experiences with multitech serial line modems.  I don't recall the model numbers.  Also, their usb modems supposedly work well too.

Can you please suggest an external modem that is known to work well with hylafax ?
Preferably a modem that is not too hard to find, and is RS-232 or USB connected, and connects to a POTS line.
