This can happen for many reasons, but with recent releases of 
Ghostscript (8.64, 8.70, 8.71, and surely all future releases) have 
omitted font metric information from where HylaFAX expects it to be.  So 
for this reason various changes were made in HylaFAX+, and you shouldn't 
have this kind of problem with HylaFAX+ 5.4.1.
