Did the receiver change to the Vodafone service at roughly the same time 
as your customer stopped using their old fax machine?

Fortunately, entiendo el espanol, but this information just confirms 
what we already know: there is a FoIP/VoIP link involved.

You could try using a different kind of modem (different chipset).  
That's about the only thing that I can think of doing other than blaming 
Vodafone entirely.
