The answer is NO. I meant that the commands doesn't work when it happens, until I turn off and turn on the modem. So, I can't only restart the faxgetty. But remember, I switched the modems (plugging the ttyS1 in the ttyS2 and vice-versa) and it continues happens in the same port (ttyS1)
