[hylafax-users] Multitech USB 9234 ZBA nightmare

Hi,

I have been using hylafax since long ago, never became an expert, just sorta of an advanced user.
recently got a multitech modem due the nice experience I had with those before,
it seems the current chipset is quite different, so kernel patching and recompiling is needed,
After all that, and getting the modem into the system as ttyUSB0, I proceeded with hylafax,

unluckily (or unskillfully) I can't get this modem to send a fax.

I tried class 1 and class 2
under class 1 I get a failure to receive silence
(with default class 1 config template)
under class 2 I get a Communication failure during Phase B/C

anybody had any good experience with these modems?

hylafax is version 4.4.4-7 on ubuntu,
