When running in Class 2.0 you're very much dependent upon the modem firmware doing the right things and then you must trust the modem to be doing the right things.


I suspect that you're showing us examples of the modem doing the wrong thing, but it's difficult to say why it's happening because the Class 2.0 protocol hides all of that from us.

If you can switch both modems into Class 1 then it would be much more revealing.
