Can you confirm that faxgetty is running?
Do you see anything in the logs (/var/log/messages probably) about the line ringing?

Hello there,



I am a brazilian system administrator. I am trying to install a fax server with HylaFAX. Well, everything was going ok when I got the problem, the faxgetty is not working. If when the fax is ringing and I start the command faxanswer the fax establish and make the transmission perfectly, but if I don't start faxanswer, the faxgetty does not start it neither.



Please if one of you have any information that can help me, please, tell me what should I do.



Here goes some information about mine environment:



Linux distro: Fedora 10

Kernel: 2.6.27



Modem: Agere HSF Soft Modem  ( with fax feature enabled )

Class: 0, 1, 1.0



Hylafax  package:  hylafax-4.4.2-1fc7.i386.rpm
