You probably don't have JBIG support compiled into libtiff. And if you do, you dont have a verion of the converter and or viewer that supports it. The hard way to fix this is to get JBIG support and compile it into libtiff. The easy way is to tell HylaFax that you don't want to receive JBIG encoded faxes. To disable use "Class1JBIGSupport: no" in your hylafax modem config file. JBIG is a more recent extension to the fax specification, It is a higher rate compression that allows faxes to be sent quicker, but is not well supported outside of the specialty fax market. -Siri Vias ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
