Re: [hylafax-users] Eicon board modem speeds

Dominique,

According to a previous post, you turned off the Class 2 V34 speed indicator explicitly in the dialogic config. As a result, you've told the diva board to lie to HylaFAX even more than usual. I'm confident you'll find that your Dialogic board is sending at speeds higher than 14,400, it's just not telling HylaFAX about it as you have requested.

Incidentally, this board is being discontinued by Dialogic at the end of the year .... if you're using their support a lot I would recommend  you I would try to work out as many of the kinks before that time!

Greetings,

My question is about modem speeds with the Eicon fax board.

Using the testfax utility that is installed with the Dialogic drivers we are able to send and receive fax at speeds of 33600 but when using HylaFAX the max send speed we have been able to achieve is 14400.

Looking through the comm logs the best HylaFAX ever offers is 14400.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as resolving this problem would significantly reduce our fax costs.

Thanks
Dominique
