[hylafax-users] Fax channels are locking up (Purge stale UUCP lock)

Hi, I'm having a problem with fax channels locking up after a few days 
uptime (from 2 days up til 2 months).

Specifications:
HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.3.0.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 4)
Fax-card: Brooktrout TR1034+P4V4F-4L

I have 3 channels running just fine after reboot and it all seem to work 
just great, but after an unspecified amount of days the channels start 
to freeze in "Waiting for modem to come free" mode.
I have tried to restart hylafax when this happens but nothing changes (I 
have waited for hours and later rebooted (it works for a few days again 
after that)).

I got this text in var/log/messages once two of the channels have halted:

Anyone seen this problem before?
