I have been having a persistent problem
sending from HylaFAX to any Panasonic PanaFax model UF-885. Whenever a
document is sent through, we receive the "No response to PPS repeated
3 times.; too many attempts to send" error, but the fax is actually
printed three separate times on the recipient machine. From what I can
understand from the logs (and I am very new to this) it seems like the
PanaFax is probably printing the page that was sent each time it receives
the PPS and EOP signals, which are sent three times due to the lack of
a recognizable acknowledgment.
You can see an example log of one of
these faxes below, and my questions are pretty simple:
1) Am I reading these logs correctly,
or is there something else going on?
2) If I am correct, is this a known
issue between Hylafax and Panasonic fax machines in general or the PanaFax
UF-885 particularly?
In case you were wondering, the HylaFAX
version being used is 4.2.3, and the modems are either MultiTech MultiModem
ZBA V.90 or V.92.
