I would recommend option 2(email), it should prove to be the most reliable. Hylafax automatically uses other modems configured in Hylafax with faxgetty running to send out faxes based on a couple of settings: a) Destination Number - by default hylafax only make one call at a time to any fax number, under the assumption that the remote end is a single line fax. This behavior can be changed on a system wide or per fax number basis. Systemwide - "MaxConcurrentCalls" in etc/config Per dest number - I thought there was one but I cant find it at the moment. b) Fax Queueing - Hylafax, depending on the version, defaults to queueing 64 faxes for the same destination and sending them in one long phone call Can be disabled c) Modems have to be in the same modem group (if you use modem groups) Good luck -Siri Vias -----Original Message----- From: hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Enrique Arredondo Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 9:30 AM To: hylafax-users@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [hylafax-users] how to setup a linux hylafax server to print from SCO unix I have a redhat es5 server running hylfax, and I would like to send faxes from a SCO unix box to this linux server, So what should I do : 1. create a samba printer that faxes through hylafax on the linux box and then somehow on the SCO box print to that samba printer 2. Email to Fax setup, so I email the report to an account on the redhat box and then hylafax does it's magic and sends the fax 3. Create a shared folder on linuxbox and mount it on the SCO box so anyfile I put there will be picked up by a hylafax daemon that checks every 5 seconds for files to be sent by fax ? 4. ftp or sftp the report to the linux box so hylafax picks it up ? any more ideas? Thanks P.S. Oh is there a way of setting up hylafax with 3 modems on the linux server and creating a load balance group so it faxes on the idle fax/modem ? ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx* ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@xxxxxxxxxxx < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@xxxxxxxxx*
