Thanks for your help, Lee. Sorry it took so long for me to implement 
your suggestions. I had some trouble getting flashwiz compiled, but 
finally got the current cvs compiled with the patch for gcc-4.1.2 
(available at the sourceforge project site). I updated the firmware from 
1.32i to 1.32k, but that didn't make any difference. Then I added the 
Class1RMPersistence setting, and it worked! Thanks again for fixing the 
only problem I've had with hylafax in nearly 4 years of use. Maybe one 
of these days I'll try HylaFAX+, but right now it ain't broken, I'm not 
fixing it. :)
