I wouldn't call this a printer driver but a converter, it is ps2tiff if
I'm correct. It converts postscript vector format into tiff point
format. But it in principle you are correct.

Why don't you tell us this from the beginning? It could be a conversion
problem, but this is hard to say without more information. The best is
to attach the logging information of your HylaFAX server.
