No, because IAXmodem doesn't currently support voice mode (although 
getting minimal voice mode features there would be extremely easy to do).

That said, there's not much reason for IAXmodem to support voice... when 
the soft-PBX (Asterisk) supports it and could, in theory, do the same 
work better.
