These are good news. Yet I am stuck with the issue of how to configure
exchange server. I' ll realy really appreciate if you can give a try to
remember.

yes, this is what I do.  I had to add 2 entries in exchange, i forget
exactly where, so that "fax" and "fax.domain.com" were both routed to
the hylafax server.  works great.
