Would it be possible to use 1927746363@xxxxxxxxxxxx instead? In my opinion
it should be possible to configure MS Exchange server such that all the
messages starting with the prefix "fax" should be somehow forwarded to
hylafax server.

this isn't really possible since smtp uses @ for the account/host
seperator, nor necessary.  SMTP naming standard is: "name"
<xxx@domain>
