Title: Mainpine IQ Express - Waiting for modem to come free

I have been working through some issuses with the Mainpine IQ Express (8 port) and CentOS 5.1 with the help of people in this mailing list. The modem shows up perfectly fine in CentOS starting on ttyS4 through ttyS11. I install hylafax and go through the set up. Running /usr/sbin/faxaddmodem, I add each of the ports. When done, I added the folling to my /etc/inittab:

m0:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS4
m1:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS5
m2:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS6
m3:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS7
m4:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS8
m5:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS9
m6:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS10
m7:2345:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyS11

and then run faxstat give me this result

HylaFAX scheduler on localhost.localdomain: Running
Modem ttyS4 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come ready
Modem ttyS11 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come free
Modem ttyS10 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come free
Modem ttyS9 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come free
Modem ttyS8 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come free
Modem ttyS7 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come ready
Modem ttyS6 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come ready
Modem ttyS5 (+1.xxx.xxx.xxxx): Waiting for modem to come ready

I cant seem to get the modem working with hylafax. I'm unsure at this point what to do to get it all working. I have tryed changing class of fax modem on each ttySx from 2.1 to 2.0 to 1.0. not sure what else to try. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!!!
