This is the command line

t38modem -n -o /var/log/t38modem_trace.log -p ttyx0,ttyx1 --route all@xxxxxxxxx > /var/log/t38modem.log 2>&1 </dev/null & 

I also set up a second test machine and installed Hylafax+ from source and get the same results.
