Win/Lin ('software') modems are really bad news for fax... if you get
yourself a decent external modem based on a Agere Venus chipset you will see
much better results.

If you want an internal board and/or the best fax board available then take
a look at the Mainpine IQ Express;

I'm trying to solve a problem with an internal PCI Conexant Modem: The modem
starts to compose number, seems to send the fax but at the end it send a
blank fax. If I observe the log file, there is "stop and wait failure (modem
on hook)" error.
Someone has a conexant config.ttySxx
configuration file to post and solve my problems?
