[hylafax-users] FW: What am I missing
Lee
Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that the trixbox install modified
inittab to start the tty's. once I dumped
t2:23:respawn:/usr/sbin/faxgetty ttyIAX0 and it's derivatives into inittab
things seem to be running ok. Is there a init file for faxgetty?
Do you have a link to setting up email to fax using sendmail and hylafax or
email2fax?
Thanks
Rick

Typically faxgetty is started with /etc/inittab. See
http://hylafax.sourceforge.net/howto/install.php#ss2.2 However, these
days I frequently find myself starting faxgetty from /etc/rc.local
because it needs to belaunched after the iaxmodem is running... and so
typically it's best to start them last.
Thanks,
Lee.
