In discussing how the job was submitted to the outbound fax with the 
programmer of our proprietary application I found he was simply lpr 
-P<queuename> -o phone=#### /folder/filename.  The queuename is using 
the hylafax driver.  Diging into the configuration I found it specified 
A4 in there.  I should have looked here earlier.  Thanks for getting me 
on the right path.
