I presume that the first page of the fax (originating probably from the 
text part of the e-mail) contains non-whitespace content?  Otherwise the 
faxmail -n -N -T options should do what you want.

If the text part of the e-mail that you're wanting to strip does contain 
non-whitespace content then you will need to strip that out of the mail 
before handing it off to faxmail with -n -N -T.
