Hi Michael, Ok, so you should try to get this working with the terminal programme before moving on to HylaFAX. I would suggest that you take a look at the USR documentation regarding Distinctive Ring and call the USR support line if you need more information. I'd also suggest that you double check that your Telco has enabled Distinctive Ring on your lines. Once you know the modem and line are working then you will have the commands you need for HylaFAX. Here's the USR user guide that discusses Distinctive Ring (including the Australian variant); http://www.usr.com/support/3453/3453-command-ref/chap%205-dialing%20and%20an swering.htm#distinctive Regards ANDREW RINALDI Mainpine Limited - Support USA +1 503 822 9944 | Asia/Europe +44 1225 869439 andrew.rinaldi@xxxxxxxxxxxx | www.mainpine.com -----Original Message----- From: Michael Hallager [mailto:michael@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 11 June 2007 11:35 To: andrew.rinaldi@xxxxxxxxxxxx; hylafax-users@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [hylafax-users] Distinctive ringing The version is 4.3.4 I'm using a USR Sportster modem for this test. Opening up a terminal program and dialing the modem, it reports "RING" on either number..... Telco setup is a POTS line. > Please tell us exactly what you want to know.
